Daily Devotional β Thursday, January 8th
πΏ Opening Presence
I begin this morning by arriving fully into myself.
With each breath, I awaken the intention to live today with clarity, honesty, and gentle purpose.
Writing this devotional becomes my first act of mindfulness, an offering to my own spirit.
π―οΈ Intention for the Day
Today I move through a full and meaningful sequence of practices.
May each one, quiet, physical, creative, relational, and reflective, be an expression of Satya:
truth in thought, truth in speech, truth in action.
π§ββοΈ Morning Sadhana
I honor the sacred rhythm of my morning:
- Zazen, settling into stillness, letting the mind clear like a calm lake.
- Yoga practice, awakening the body with breath-led movement.
- Garden tending, touching the earth, remembering my place in the web of nature.
- Satvic Yoga class, cultivating purity, balance, and inner light.
- Strength training, building resilience in body and spirit.
- OA HOW Sponsor call, connecting in service, honesty, and shared healing.
- Planned breakfast, nourishing myself with intention and care.
May these practices ground me, strengthen me, and align me with my deeper truth.
π¨ Creative Offering
Later this morning, I return to the country art piece I am painting for my daughter.
May my hands move with love.
May each brushstroke carry tenderness, memory, and blessing.
May creativity be a doorway into presence and joy.
π Midday Renewal
I pause for lunch, a simple act of nourishment.
I gift myself a 10βminute stroll, letting my body breathe fresh air.
I allow myself a restful nap, trusting that restoration is part of devotion.
π¨ Afternoon Practice
I continue painting, letting the creative flow deepen.
Then I turn to my OA Step 2 writing, opening myself to clarity, humility, and willingness.
May this writing help me see more clearly and trust more deeply.
π Evening Integration
Tonight I attend the TYI Yoga for Better Living class.
May this practice soften the edges of the day and weave everything together:
movement, breath, reflection, and gratitude.
Afterward, I rest, knowing I have lived this day with intention.
πΈ Gratitude
Today I am grateful for every opportunity to serve, heal, and learn.
For the chance to practice Satya,
to be consistent in my thoughts, my words, and my actions.
To be truthful with myself and with others.
π³ Closing Prayer
May I enjoy each activity with presence and joy.
May all my actions be of benefit to myself and to others.
May Nature guide my choices,
inspiring me to walk gently, wisely, and truthfully.
