Ignatian Night Examen — Saturday, January 10th
Ignatian Night Examen — Saturday, January 10th
a day of accomplishment, celebration, and gentle awareness
1. Gratitude — A Soft Thank You for This Day
Tonight I begin by giving thanks for completing all that I planned.
I am grateful for the joy of finishing my Country Art piece, for the creativity and love it carried.
I give thanks for the celebration with my son, coffee, companionship, and the sweetness of being together.
I honor the delight of that moment, the laughter, and the shared joy.
2. Ask for Light — Seeing My Day with Kindness
I invite a gentle, moonlit clarity to shine over my choices.
Not to judge them harshly, but to understand them with compassion.
I ask for insight that feels soft and true, like starlight resting on quiet earth.
3. Review — Walking Back Through My Day
I walk slowly through the hours of this day:
- Completing my planned tasks
- Finishing my Country Art piece
- Celebrating with my son at the bakery
- Enjoying coffee and cake, stepping off my food plan
I notice the rhythm, caccomplishment, joy, and learning.
4. Reflection — Where I Moved Toward Healing
I ask myself softly:
Where did I move toward truth, recovery, or authenticity today?
Where did I feel grounded, supported, or aligned?
Where did I offer kindness to myself or others?
Where did I feel Mother Nature’s quiet guidance, in creativity, in companionship, in awareness?
I hold my celebration with tenderness.
I acknowledge my pattern of emotional eating, and I honor my awareness of it.
I commit to developing new ways to celebrate, ones that align with my food plan and my healing.
5. Renewal — Curling Into Rest
As the night deepens, I release what is heavy.
I keep what is true.
I let myself soften into rest.
May Mother Nature cradle me tonight with warmth and gentleness.
May I wake renewed, steady, and open to the next step in my healing.
May all beings be safe.
May all beings be free.
May all beings know peace.
