Ignatian Night Examen — Tuesday, January 13th

Ignatian Night Examen — Tuesday, January 13th

a day of completion, nourishment, and mindful presence

1. Gratitude — A Soft Thank You for This Day

Tonight I begin by giving thanks for completing all that I planned. I am grateful for my sadhana, for cooking with care, for study and connection, and for yoga to close the day. I give thanks for the nourishment of preparing white chayote with corn and tomatoes, a simple and mindful act of creativity in the kitchen. I honor the steadiness and devotion that carried me through.

2. Ask for Light — Seeing My Day with Kindness

I invite a gentle, moonlit clarity to shine over my day. Not to judge it, but to understand it. I ask for insight that feels soft and true — like starlight resting on quiet earth.

3. Review — Walking Back Through My Day

I walk slowly through the hours of this day:

  • Morning sadhana

  • Cooking and nourishment

  • SOA Book Study

  • TYI Yoga for Better Living

  • Preparing a meal of white chayote with corn and tomatoes

I notice the rhythm — discipline, nourishment, learning, and integration.

4. Reflection — Where I Moved Toward Healing

I ask myself softly: Where did I move toward truth, recovery, or authenticity today? Where did I feel grounded, supported, or aligned? Where did I offer kindness to myself or others? Where did I feel Mother Nature’s quiet guidance — in cooking, in study, in movement, in rest?

I hold all of it with tenderness — the effort, the devotion, the nourishment.

5. Renewal — Curling Into Rest

As the night deepens, I release what is heavy. I keep what is true. I let myself soften into rest.

May Mother Nature cradle me tonight with warmth and gentleness. May I wake renewed, steady, and open to the next step in my healing.

May all beings be safe. May all beings be free. May all beings know peace.
